A great late Baroque composer, Francesco Mancini was extremely popular musician of his time. Mancini’s music characterizes a link between the Baroque and Classical eras. Mancini wrote more than 30 operas, many oratorios and great number of sacred vocal music – very famous all over Europe. In 1725, Mancini succeeded A. Scarlatti and became maestro di capella at the Conservatory in Naples.
