A distinguished singer, pianist, composer and music administrator, Reynaldo Hahn was a student of Massenet at the Paris Conservatoire. Hahn was first acclaimed for his songs, which he sang himself accompanying himself on the piano. Hahn’s contribution to the genres of opera and theatre resulted in his appointment of artistic director of the Paris Opéra. Hahn’s operetta Ciboulette has become a popular repertoire in music theaters worldwide.
