 | Karol Szymanowski (1882 - 1937) Karol Szymanowski short biography One of the most important 20th Century composers, Karol Szymanowski had his music education Warsaw. From the beginning of his career, Szymanowski’s compositions were received with the great enthusiasm wordwide. In 1921, Szymanowski toured the United States together with Pawel Kochanski and Artur Rubinstein. In May, 1922, Szymanowski had an overwhelming success of his compositions in Paris. Szymanowski was also an outstanding writer and poet. In 1926, Karol Szymanowski assumed the directorship of the Warsaw Conservatory. Szymanowski's music enjoy a tremendous success and is performed more and more often at concert halls and opera houses all over the world.
