10-year old Carl Czerny started his studies with Beethoven. Czerny made his orchestral debut in Vienna performing Mozart's C minor Concerto. Czerny was regarded as the best interpreter of Beethoven’s piano music. Czerny's main fame was as the most outstanding piano teacher. His students included Thalberg, Liszt, Stephen Heller. Czerny's pedagogical methods continue to have significant influence on many generations of pianists.
