The distinguished violinist and pedagogue, Pierre Rode made his Paris orchestral debut at the age 16, that made the young artist famous overnight. Rode’s triumphs all over Europe were followed by his appointment of a professor at the Paris Conservatoire. In 1804 Rode assumed a position of a solo violinist for the Russian Tsar.In 1812, Rode gave the first concert performance of the Beethoven's Violin Sonata No. 9 with the Archduke Rudolph at the piano.
